My mom's new look!

2nd round of chemo

Mom had her 2nd treatment and today she is doing fabulous. Mom and dad went to help some people in the ward paint their house. With everything going on, they still find time to help others. Mom is greatful for all the good days that she has and want to be out and about doing things.

Good Times

Mom had a really good day today, she decided she didnt need the pain med. so she toook her pacth off. She felt much better without the pain medicine making her "high" :) she went shopping for a new wig with her friend barbara and Kelly. Sounded like it was quite the experience.

Home!

Mom was able to come home today!! She is doing great. She went shopping with my aunt today and was feeling really good. Tonya made dinner for the family ( so sweet!) and at 9pm my mom was still doing great.

Abdominal Scan

Mom'a abdominal scan came back and it shows inflammation, which is from the chemo. Its makeing her not able to eat and making her nauseated. She will get different antibiotics. Her white blood cell count it up and she still has no fever! All good news!

Sunday Morning

Mom is doing well today! I talked to her on the phone and she sounds great. She is hopeing to leave the hospital tomorrow, but the doctors wanted to do another CT scan on her head to make sure there was no bleeding. Mom has hopes to get back to normal life at home.

After she gets out of the hospital, her sister, Tonya is going to take her wig shopping. Wish I was there, mom is going to be stylin'!

Keeping You Current

This blog is for all my mom's friends and family to keep up on her progress. Mom has good days and bad ones. On bad days, my mom has a hard time keeping up with all the visitors and phone calls, so I thought this was a good way to keep everyone informed so mom is not overwelmed. Feel free to check the blog anytime. The family will try to update it everyday and share some of our thoughts and feelings.

Hopefully this takes the pressure off my mom to keep everyone up to date.
